if the part thats stuck in the port is hollow use a small coarse thread screw... if its flat ended, not sure. the super glue may work but you'll have to be careful to not glue it in there.
Any friends that are locksmiths? They have a broken key extractor that may work. It is a thin piece of flat stock with barbs. Might work if there is enough wiggle room.
Here are two suggestions I use often in my shop. First, try a hemostat. I keep several in my tool box for roach clips and uses just like this. If you can't get one, than take a fishing hook and straighten it out. Insert the hook and try to catch the broken piece with the barb on the end. This is how I remove broken keys. Both of these items are always in my tool box.
Lots of great suggestions. I knew I could count on my fellow Harley brothers and sisters. Thanks. I may not have time until the weekend to work on the extraction; but I will certainly report back after I do so.
If they dont work, try taking the radio out and taking it to a local car stereo repair shop if you not comfortable taking the radio case apart yourself. The radio comes out fairly simply after you remove the outer fairing.
Have never had to try anything like this, but would be concerned about using glue. With my luck, just enough glue would come off and then glue the broken plug in place.
There are small indents on the plug to help keep it from falling out once plugged in; seems that these would work against you when trying to remove it. I would think that almost anything metal that is poked in there, trying to dig it out, will only damage the stereo.
I'd be inclined to pull the stereo and send it in, but that's only because I ususally would only make things worse by trying to fix something like that myself!
I looked at this posts title many times, telling my self Don't look, Don't look,,,,
But I had to look! (Doesn't say much for me, does it?) Will power,,, who needs it.
It's like the others say, you'll have to remove the radio IMHO and if the above poster is correct and the jack is "Bottomless" you can take the cover off and get the FOD out of it after you push it through.
