how many people have their bikes covered under AAA. is it worth the money. how are they when it comes to claims and service. i'm getting close to that magic time in life where i 'll have alot of time to travel and i'm thinking about some type of highway assistance should i ever need it.

Did they provide a reason for this?

I have AAA Plus/RV which covers rv's and bikes. I would not leave home without them. I am in PA/MD area.

+1 on AAA Premier RV

I broke down on I80 250 miles east of Reno NV in July 08. HOG got me a tow but only paid the first $100.00 of the $1000.00 tow bill. I know it was bad luck but I now have AAA Premier since that break down

I have AAA and have had them since 89..when I first started driving. Have used them numerous times and they have hauled my bike once, and came out with gas on another occasion. Unlike HOG they will haul any car, truck ,or bike I am with...dont even have to own it. Make sure you get the plus though. standard AAA only tows 5 miles where plus will tow 100 miles. I have also used them to get numerous discounts at hotels

We must have different hog insurance because we have been towed twice now with no problems getting the bill payed. But with AAA you get a lot of hotel discounts that we haven't got with being a hog member.

i used the AAA rv membership for years with my bike. never got their insurance.
one time my bike broke down, it was 2pm, i called AAA to get a tow, a guy showed up at 4:45 with a car tow. the whole time i was calling AAA and htey kept saying that the guy would be there.
the guy said he couldnt tow a bike and left pretty rudely.
AAA said that they couldnt get someone to tow my bike till morning.

I called Progressive which was and still is my insurance on the bike and they got a tow guy there in 10 minutes. since then, progressive has never failed to get me someone to tow my bike quickly and professionally.
