25 Degree injectors
Here's the link to the Service Bulletin:

My Low Rider experienced hard starting and almost stalling until warmed up. Not all the time, but enough to be a pain.
Called local dealer for injector swap and got run-around that "it's probably the exhaust." Walked in with the Service Bulletin in hand and still got no resolution - they said they keep the bike overnight and check it out, but still said it's probably the exhaust (HD slipons).
Called another dealer and told them symptoms over the phone. Their response was "we'll order the injectors, and bring the bike in next Thursday. If you bring it in a 9:00 am, we'll do the swap while you wait."
Guess which dealer will get my future business!!!!

Not to be a jail house lawyer, but...
If you follow the flow diagram on page 2 of the bulletin, you can see their first step is to check several things including: Spark plugs & correct calibration (read: flash or ECM controller) for the bike's intake/exhaust setup.
Once these items are good, they check the fuel pressure. low pressure could be the problem, but if it is good... Check the injectors - if they are the 8 degree version, replace with 25 degree.
Note the last step. They should update your flash (if you have a HD stage 1 flash) with the newer 25 degree version.
Under "Required Dealer Action" on page 1 it doesn't say they will ride the bike to determine if there is a driveability problem. You the customer report driveability problems to them. The second paragraph in the "Purpose" section says it all, "In the interest of promoting customer satisfaction, ..."
According to the M-1185 bulletin, if the bike has the correct ECM controller or flash installed and it is still stumbling, they should replace your injectors. Does anyone know of any bulletins published after the Feb 20, 2006 M-1185 bulletin linked above which tells them to be jerks about the issue?

From what I've seen so far, that policy is implemented on a dealer-by-dealer basis.
LOL

I too used the safety issue with my dealer and they gladly scheduled me in and replaced the injectors and I didn't even have to show them the service bulletin. As a matter of fact they showed me a copy. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
truth is the MOCO don't know sh*t unless the dealer tells them... if the dealer wants to work on it then they will. deal is the MOCO reimburses them for their labor and parts and we all know a good "technition" can do the work in a fraction of the time it claims to need. and they get the money for 2 hrs even if they do it in 30 min. and if you owe more for the bike than its worth then just offer to stop payment and tell them to shove it... i just got mine back with 25 injectors
Thanx to all, I am calling tomorrow about the injectors. To be truthful I am no Mechanic so it could be anything. But what you guys say happened to you just happened to me this weekend at a PGR mission. Some jerk in a pickup was too busy looking at all the pretty bikes and didn't quite stop behind the line at the intersection. He pulled into the intersection about 5 feet as I was going thru it. He did this just as I was going past the front of the truck. A little cough, sputter and a creaking sound( the creaking sound was coming from my rear sucking about 2 or 3 lbs. of genuine Harley Davidson seat up my rear!) and I just missied having "FORD" permanantly tatooed across the right side of my face. My wife still curses the dumb SOB whenever I bring it up. Again, Thanx for the info
all i had to do was call another dealer and tell them my problem and they confirmed replacing mine over the phone, it took my mechanic 20 minutes. and i am not exagerating, 20 minutes. we stayed at the shop and waited, they also fixed a few other things i had problems with all under warranty. just call another dealer.
Im scheduled for this saturday to get my injectors replaced, my dealer had said that a ECM flash was not nessasary and the new injectors simply corrects the fuel spray angle for better fuel atomization, at first I was relieved that i wouldnt have to go through a complete remapping since I have the dyna jet power commander on my ride but after reading the bulletin posted a few posts up it mentions that a new ecm flash is required. Does anyone know how much the new flash changes the fuel mixture?
