Well, i got'em. I almost dumped the bike yesterday because it quit taking a slow curve. Luckily I caught the bike. I called the dealer and we checked the injector number and he said they need to be replaced. I have the service bulletin if anybody wants it...pdf format. (Not sure how to post on here) I'll pass along if the repalcement injectors work any better.
It sounds like you have a decent dealer to deal with. I argued with mine and finally it occurred to me that it was useless. So I took it to another dealer about 50 miles away and they fixed me up. Said it was no problem to do the swap. A buddy told me it really wasn't a matter of Harley eating the cost of the injectors but more a matter of the rate the dealer gets on the swap out from Harley. They get a lot more doing all of the add ons and modifications than they can get from Harley for the injectors. My bike runs flawlessly since the swap.

Same rseults after my swap. Ran a little lazy before the change but if I can get any upgrade out of the MoCo I'm taking it. As stated above, if your dealer won't do it find the next nearest one who will.
I know you're taken care of pk but if anybody else goes in play, kind of dumb. Tell them all of your problems and symptoms then mention that you heard something or other about "8's and 25's" and let the service writer be the "hero" and save you from eternal 8 degree damnation!
Kind have to play the game. Heard of too many owners going in to the dealer flashing the bulletin which puts them on the defensive from the get-go. Just calmly explain what the bike is doing and they should ask you about the injectors.
My dealer gave me no problem at all. I presented it to him as a safety issue and he agreed. Swapped out the 8's for 25's, new download and the scoot runs great. No more coughing and stalling. Still get decel pop though. Even with the upgrade it's still "factory lean". I do see a power commander in my future. But the whole thing is about dealer attitude.
I had my injectors replace/upgraded to the 25 degree version and the darn thing still has the occasional sneeze through the intake. They also upgraded my flash to match the injectors.
I had the 25 degree injectors , SE air kit, and race tuner, along with a dyno tune done.
Bike now runs stronger and a lot cooler.
My 06 RK ran really hot with the stock set up.
I was told that mine has the 25degree injectors but it has died on while accelerating from a stop 3 times in the last few days. I have the S/E stage 1 and Vance and Hines exhaust what am I missing.
Jeff
PSO, Do you know your build date? I think they started using the 25* inj. about Feb of 06. Anyway you can read the inj. numbers from the left side. The old 8* inj has a part# 27625-06 anf the 25* inj has a part # 27709-06a. Hope this helps. Also Mr. Claire has posted the link to the service bulletin above.
