Hey I'm looking for an iphone set up for 2008 Ultra that will:
1. Play my iphone music thru the HD stereo.
2. Charge the iphone while riding.
3. Easy access on the handle bar.
Any inputs on what you've guys have done????
Thanx

Take a look at the mini-USB/line out adapter called "Pocket Dock" from SendStation. It's about $35. Couple that with a RAM mount and I'd say it's the best way for the $$. I've been considering this setup and planned to buy the TomTom app for GPS. That way I could have GPS that plays through factory HK radio while listening to iTunes music. The music should fade when the GPS instructions come on. Also, when not using GPS you could use the numerous satellite radio apps through the iPhone. I think I'll eventually go this route. All this would work in the car too. Even the RAM mount if you get the suction cup part to use in the car.
I just picked one up on eBay for 20$ new! its REAL good quality. I am getting around to installing it. It comes with plenty of cables and power accessories and mounting accessories.
And here is another Post by TRUBRIT bout 1/2 way down:

Here's an easy fix. This is what I use. Do a Google search for Ram Mounts. For about 15 bucks, I got one for my Ipod Touch. Hooks right to the handlebar. You can leave the mount right there, and take the ipod out of it whenever you want. Go to Radio Shack & get the 12" cord with a male at each end. One end goes into the bottom of the ipod & the other will plug in near the radio. The length is perfect. As far as charging at the same time that it's playing ---- can't help you on that one. Maybe there's a splitter out there, so you can use that Radio Shack cord, and also plug into your lighter to charge it, while you're playing the ipod, but I don't know.
I use the double male plug from the phone to the aux plug on the radio. A RAM mount to hold it, the IPOHNE and ITOUCH have different holders, make sure to order correct one. Than I just use the lighter plug to keep it charged. Whole set up cost me under 50.00. Works real well. I also have the XM Radio apt that gives me XM radio on the bike for 3 dollars a month.... Great deal.

Tell us more about your electronics setup. Going from left to right i think I see a clock, a CB mic, a garmin GPS, valentine one, unkown box, and ipod control on the right side?
I have a drink holder that when folded up and
stored I use as a holder for my Itouch and cell
phone, they attach with VELCRO and I can route
cables to charge while riding if I choose to. Pics
attached to show as a drink holder, and then with
the Itouch only, and with the Itouch and cell phone
side by side. I have not had any problems with this
set-up and they are secure at all times.
