Changing shocks must be easy, I did it.

The one thing to look out for is the oil will pour out of the shocks very easy.
Just make sure you keep the open hole for the air connection higher than the rest of the shocks.

FYI: You probably won't like the ride of the 12" Harley shocks. I got a chance to try a set of "take off Ultra shocks" and they ride much better than my stock Street Glide shocks.

So problem number one....I don't have an air pump to bleed out the air lines.... Can this be done without or do I need to go run and get this?

(just messin')

Just based on the volume of positive posts from happy Motorcycle Metal customers, I think I'll be giving Howard a call when I decide to upgrade my suspension. I don't mind paying a few extra dollars for craftsmanship and after-the-sale support.

I did this. Extremely easy... Just jack up the bike, remove the old shocks and put the new ones on... Half hour job. I got a set of take-off shocks from a streetglide for $100 in the classified section on this site. All the talk of crappy ride with these shocks is pretty much BS as far as Im concerned... I ride solo with no tourpack and honestly, i cant tell the difference from stock. Looks **** tho

+ what he said on mine also don't forget to tork down the bolts per specks in the manual top 35lbs bottom 45 bottom first gluck bud
