Angry Thigh pain

So I ride a 2007 SG and I installed a Sundowner Deep Bucket Seat - Smooth. And when I ride for more than 100 miles my left inner thigh gets some serious pain, to the point that it is very painful to raise my left leg to heel shift. I think it is because where the seat meets the tank it is too wide for this 5' 10" guy. So I switched my seat back to stock and rode with much less pain. I guess my question is, has anyone had this happen to them and if so what was the cause and cure. Any thoughts on Corbin seats and a good model?

I'm no expert, but that seat sounds like it's wrong for you. Not all seats are going to fit all body types. Sounds like it's cutting off curculation to your leg.

Do you have another foot position to switch to other than the floorboard? If not, that would help. My legs get sore from being in the same position too long no matter how comfortable it seems at first.

Do you keep your wallet in your back pocket? When I go on long rides, drives, or even just sitting in a chair too long with my wallet in my back pocket can cause me all kinds of pain!

i had that problem before i took off my heel shifter. without it, i have a lot more choices where to put my foot.

keep the wallet in the saddlebag, that'll pinch your sciatic nerve.

use hwy pegs, being stuck in one position, no matter how comfortable at first, will get old after a while. on really long trips, i will reinstall the passenger pegs so that i can put my feet behind me.

Do you "dress to the left" or "to the right"? (if you know what I mean) That can affect how your leg sits... one leg can be splayed out a little wider than the other. Try dressing to the other side and see if that makes a difference.
