Good Idea....Allen can alter your Sundowner for a lot less than trying another seat
Buy some Biker underware like LD Comfort. Kind of like bike shorts but will cause less butt burn and irritation from bunched up shorts. If you have two pair you are good to go, just wash in sink at night and they will be dry in the morning. They look funky but they work great.

have the same problem on my 09dyna and badlander seat . when I travel long distance I use a sheepskin what a difference can stay in the saddle all day.
He's not joking. A lot of folks wear them. I don't, but I don't have your issue. +1 on the sheep skin for long rides though. woarm in the winter, cool in the summer, and no monkey butt.
Sounds like you might need to shave some of the foam in the down.
I have the Sundowner on my SG. I had mine altered. A lot of foam was removed and replaced with Gel. They also trimmed the sides to make it narower. Much better.
I had tht problem with the stock set on my 07 FLHTC switched to Mustng and Voila...You could send you seat off to MCC but i would len towrds selling it outright and buy a different seat like Mustng or Corbin.

No joke dude...you cn also try cheaper shorts from Walmart...Franklin compression shorts in the sports section or Under Armour Boxer Jocks...Makes you skin slide better on the pant fabric and doesn't stretch the skin as much...eliminates the shear factor.
