Default fixed driver backrest question

on my last ultra i had the adjustable backrest. was great, but i did find in most cases i would try to get it in the same location. the best feature was the one that allowed my wif to push it forward while getting on and off.

i feel that if i but the non adjustable one, i would still be happy once i get it dialed in. do you agree? and also - does it move forward like the adjustable one for the passenger?

thx - tin

I have the HD non-adjustable rider backrest, yes it does fold forward for Passenger to get on. I feel the same as you, once I got mine set, I never move it. Theres an allen screw in the back of my backrest. I can adjust it to tilt back or forward.I carry a 3/16 allen in my tour pak to adjust it if I need to.

I have the non adjustable type. It actually is adjustable, just not while your riding it.
I wouldn't even consider the other one.

I actually didn't know this! I'm afraid of the thumb screw coming loose and bouncing down the highway. I never adjust it when I'm riding anyway.

I've had 3 of the non adjustable back rest on other Ultras, and was given an adjustable one for my last Ultra. I wouldn't buy the adjustable one if I were spending my money.

Do yourself a favor and take a look at the Mustang.
