With the discounts Chicago HD offers, you really can't expect them to stock all of the accessories they sell. I've bought several accessories from them. I just yesterday ordered another $500 worth from them.

I had to wait about 3 weeks for parts I ordered from them. I use Surdyke also and have noticed the same with there discounts. I just ordered from Lake Shore HD Saturday night and it shipped today! They had a special with free shipping and always 20%. Not bad... maybe one to watch

I've order from them in the past, with no issues.

However, I recently tried to give them $1,200 worth of hard bag business, but my three emails went unanswered. So I ordered from Zanotti's which also offer a 20% discount.

I love the city of Chicago, but the customer service at CHD sucks, and I'll be sending all of my large purchase business to Zanotti's in the future.

Man, I sure hope Chicago H-D monitors this site. You would think in this economy that they would do whatever it took to improve their customer service image. I think a lot more members of HDForums would order from them if there were fewer complaints about their shipping lag. Enough negatives were expressed for me to NOT order anything from CHD. It's worth more to me to get the parts quicker and forego a 10% difference in the discount. Looks like Surdyke will keep my business.

I used to order from Chicago HD for many years. They seemed to be the original 20% off dealer but of late there are better deals when you figure in shipping (LSHD1 comes to mind) and there is better customer service. I realize that CH HD has been going through some transitions but I am dissatisfied with their lack of responsiveness to concerns raised. They don't reply to e-mails and having to call for help should not be necessary from an internet business.

I will tell you from experiance that they DO NOT monitor this site... I have spoken with the owner and told the husband and wife duo that people were slamming their business on here and he more of less told me oh well, we have a huge internet sales business and we dont care.. which I though was odd since there are a lot of other dealers that are offering the same discount... Zanotti, Lake Shore, ect ect ect

Well this is consistent with their lack of responsiveness. As customers we have choices and as a vendor they too have choices.

I also am an LSHD1.com fan.

Great customer service and good communication. Every discount internet sales business is going to have some lag time and that's just the way it is. If you want it NOW, then go to the dealer, pay full MSRP + tax and and have some nice little hottie lead you around by your buckman and explain everything to you. Otherwise, be patient and deal with one of the proven few that will eventually get you your part at a nice price. I have found that LSHD1.com fits the bill for good solid customer service. The internet sales managers name is Bill Sparks and his cell no. is 815-538-7744.

I ordered the new 2010 Touring seat for $128 delivered last week and just got shipping confirmation today. That's a scream'n deal and the short wait is just fine with me.
