Default ABS Pulsing Question

Hey everyone, I just hopped on my used 2008 HD Ultra Classic Electra Glide yesterday and wondered if everytime you press on the brakes you are supposed to feel the brakes pulsating.. I have ABS brakes on the bike and this is the first bike I have had with ABS. Is it normal to feel the brakes pulsing every time you grab the brakes?

Thanks.

NO, should only pulse when wheel begins to lock up. If it is pulsing on every stop, you need to get it back to the dealer.

Okay I contacted a dealer and he said it was normal to feel some pulsing when appling the hand or foot brake and that I would feel it even more when coming to an abrupt stop. This is so confusing.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I had a 2007 without ABS and of course no pulsating.

Why not have the dealer flash it with the 2008 ABS upgrade flash. I had mine done and was happy with the results. Tell your dealer to have a look at service bulletin M1239. They may give you some jive about it only being for Michelin tires, but if you complaint about it pulsing and jumping while coming to a stop, they should do it for you. I had mine done and I don't run Michelins.

I would take it to another dealer and have them test ride it; that is not correct. My '09 ultra never has a "pulse" nor does any other bike I've ridden with ABS

Also is it normal that the ABS light comes on and goes off until you reach about 3-4 mph?
