I hate to be the one to tell you but you can keep spending and spending and that will still be a Vision.

+1!! LOL! And NOT a 'Vision of loveliness"!! Do they even make much stuff for those things!?!... I suppose they're "perfect" just the way they are, so no reason to make stuff to add to 'em!

All that was added to my Vision was a set of cams and a fueler, that is all that is needed....and I'm done, don't need to add anything else...tons of HP and torque and all the amenities of a GREAT touring bike...

If I went to HD land for my crusier I would have to sink well over $7000 to get an Ultra Classic to the starting point of a Stock Vision...But I didn't post my question to start a pissing contest between the HD loyal and the Victory loyal...I did that when I sold my Road Glide for my Vision...Old thread....

but my poor old Nightster that's a different story....It needs cams, fueler, seat, lights, exhaust, pegs,etc...it never ends....Just wanted to see where other people were with the endless spending, as I am with the Nightster...

But with that picture you HAD to know that was going happen when you started the thread.

To answer your question though, the only time I get tired of doing it is when it comes time to sell or trade and I can't get Jack Squat for all the upgrades. Oh well, I keep doing it anyway. I say "Might as well spend it, cause they're not gonna bury me with it."

Then you should trade your Nightster in for an 8-Ball or a Vegas. Really.

/shrug

But to the original question...no, I never get tired of it. It's a hobby I enjoy. I realized that after I sold my last bike, so I bought a new one and started from scratch.

Let the fun begin!

I'm addicted to upgrades.. but I am sick of how much sh*t costs.. Here's the breakdown of my typical day with the HD catalog:

Wow that freight train nacelle is bad ***.... ..**** its 400 bucks..
That screaming eagle air cleaner and the new chrome cover is bad *** ...**** thats 430.00 altogether for a damn air cleaner..
Damn those rims are sweet... F**k me those are 3 grand..

LOL! little by little tho I just wish my wallet matched my ambition and I didnt have to wait and save up!

Before I owned a REAL motorcycle I used to read all the adds of people selling HDs.. "over 10k invested in upgrades" "20k invested" etc.. I used to think wtf is so expensive?.. now I certainly know how quickly the thousands add up!

...... ahhhhhh, no
a) i don't have a need to go that much faster anymore,
and
b) 98.463% of the time..... anywhere i go...... there's not another ride in that town that anyone would confuse w/ this ......

....... ....................................... so an on-going need to " make'r mine " doesn't really come into play

Hey Joe, were you at Cherahala Harley yesterday? I saw a Vision there just like the one in your pic. Sound pretty good when the guy left.

This guy didn't look ashamed to be riding an American built Motorcycle. In fact some of the folks in our group thought it looked pretty cool. I know it's not a Harley, But then again I don't judge the Motorcycle, I judge the person. I've met some guy's who own Harley's, I wouldn't want to ride with. I know this is a HD forum.
