Default Glide Pro

I recently fitted the Glide pro set up - front and rear mounts - after a bad 'shimmy/wobble'. I've been riding 30 years plus and it was up there with all time scary moments.

Did the research on the Sta Bo and the Glide Pro and went with the latter mainly because of my dealings with Jake. I like the fitment videos and the guy was good to talk to, lots of good advice.

Ordering the goods from the UK was easy, paying the duty wasn't but I'm patriotic and I reckon the Royal Navy will be pleased with the new destroyer I must have bought them.

The quality of the kit was evident right out of the box and I felt I'd got what I paid for.

Fitting was easy. The rear fitting video needs upodating but the instructions were clear enough and Jake was on the end of the phone/e-mail when I had a couple of questions.

I have to say I was amazed when I took the 'doughnuts' out and saw how, er, 'basic' the rubber mount system is. I was also surprised at the 'made in china' logo on the original front engine mount but then what isn't these days..

Anyway, the real test is in the ride and I couldn't be more pleased. The bike feels really 'planted' and secure and more of a pleasure to ride. Somehow it feels 'right' in a way I can't define. So, the guy is great to deal with, the kit is well made and the ride quality is MUCH improved. For me, money well spent.

Needless to say I have no connection with the company, I'm just sharing my experience and opinions.

I'm currently running the progressive suspension tour link. I went to the velva-ride front mount to bring the increased vibration from the link to tolerable levels. I've been very interested in the glide pro setup but haven't heard much from anyone thats actually used it. Thanks for the write up. Any additional vibration from the change?

Hi,

I actually had a Progressive Link fitted but have taken it off for the moment. There is a bit of vibration at low revs but nothing significant - nothing that bugs me and its still bedding in.
