Default Road Glide HEADLIGHT Bezel conversion help?

Quick question for those of you who've already done this conversion. I removed the clear plastic bezel from my headlights and have the new black bezel in my hands.

Do you remove the black plastic bezel that is around the headlights or does that stay on there? If that is supposed to come off, how does it come off?
I dont want to break anything and I don't want to force it either.

Thanks in advance!

NEVER MIND
I got it in there. Doesn't fit like a glove but it's snapped in just the same. Just hope it stays there though. Looks much better then the "bubble" too.

No. Just pop the plastic "bubble" away and put the new SE bezel in.
The black plastic bezel you are asking about it's a part of the headlight assembly.

I think the headlight assembly is too far forward as the new bezel is hitting the bulbs at the top. I think I need to see if that assembly can be pulled back some. Anybody know how to accomplish that? If the bezel touches the bulbs, will that become a problem?

I had to adjust the headlights on mine to pull them back evenly so that the bezel would fit snug. Just turn all the adjusting screws the same amount and it should fit fine.

There's just two adjusters, correct? Thanks for the help Mike.

There are 3 , two on top and one on bottom. May have to remove outer fairing and pop the assembly out (simple job) but there are adjustment holes in the inner fairing behind steering neck, pia to get to though..On mine I had to GENTLY bend the top tabs on the new bezel to get it to fit snug. I didn't want it to fall off either...

Did/are you replacing the OEM glass lite bulbs with the hardened glass version?

No I'm not at this time. I have read several posts from others who've done this mod witout changing the bulbs. I'm sure they'll last for quite a while and when they need changing, then I'll switch over to the hardened versions. Right now it looks like I gotta open up the fairing to move the H/L assembly backwards a bit as it's pressing against the new bezel and distorting it a bit. The bezel is on there but I can tell it's distorted at the sides. According to the maintenance manual the adjustment screws (2) are only to move the headlight vertically and / or horizontally but will not move it fore and aft. They will only move it in it's fixed axis. I've never had my fairing apart so might as well learn that too as I play with these headlights. Can anyone suggest a decent upgrade of speakers to replace those stockers?
