Cam Adjusters / Engine mount
Good mornin', Guys.
A week or so ago, I posted a message asking for any assistance related to a "new" RPM noise that started coming from my bike. Along with that noise; there was also a "metallic" sound - one of those that I described as an "expensive" sound, when I shut the bike down.
There were a few suggestions as to what might be causing the RPM sound and I think I found the problem for both noises. Both cam adjusters were well worn and one was actually broke.
While doing that work; I was also convinced to replace the transmission spocket because of wear - 47K on an '03 FLHT.
Total bill for that work about $800.00.
Now another issue has come to light and more questions for the good people of this forum.
How much trouble is it to change the front engine mount. Mine has worn enough that I will have to change it at the end of the riding season.
I do have the service manual, however, advice and input from this forum helps a lot.
So has anybody changed their front engine mount and is it a difficult thing to do?
Thanks guys;
Ride In Peace

Go to www.Glide-pro.com they have a video of replacing the front motor mount with their mount, a better mount than HD's ($98). Mine was very easy after watching that video.
