Best D.O.T. Half Helmet
I use a Skid Lid when I have to wear one.It fits good and is comfortable.Leave the mushroom head thing to the posers that look at themselves in every window they pass or shinny tanker going down the road.http://www.motorhelmets.com/htm-reso...d-lid-helmets/
+1 on this, love the hybrid helmet.
I just bought the HJC IS-2. I really like it. It is the same exact helmet that HD sells

with the HJC emblem on it instead of the HD emblem, for about 30 bucks less.

I feel I have to share here. In September 2007 my wife and I had a bad day when a delivery truck cut us off. My half helmet evidently hit her in the eye and broke her eye socket and gave her a traumatic brain injury. The helmet was knocked off my head and I had a broken nose, both cheeks and sinuses. I did not have a TBI, just a good concussion. I still have headaches to this day. We now wear the flip open full face helmets by HJC. I did some shopping for fit and this worked best for us.
Riding is not the most safe activity in the world. I just wanted you to know that I was told it is fairly common for the half helmet to be knocked off when it is needed.
Living in a tropical area we had the half helmets to deal with the warm temps. With a closed lid we may have had fewer injuries.
I fully believe in letting those who ride decide. hopefully this message will encourage you to take a look at the new "Modular" units. It is nice to "close the door" when you run into rain.
That said the carbon fiber units sure looked nice and felt lite.

a couple years ago. Paid around $40.00 shipped. The one I paid the least for is the one I wear the most. I think you can see mine hanging on the grip in my sig pic. Can't loose much, sizes run as true as I have seen.
