Default Seat help

I just bought a FLHT seat from fleebay. The main purpose is to make the wife comfy on my 08 StreetGlide on long rides.

When I put the seat on there was a gap between the rear tab and the fender. A little pressure on the seat and I was able to get the screw started and I torqued it down tight.

When I tried to test ride it, I found it was a pain in the butt. Wife was happy, but not me.

I looked it over closer and could see the seat was flexing up in the middle due to torquing down the rear screw. I put a spacer between the tab and the rear fender and a longer bolt and it seems to be a lot better.

The question is "has anyone had a similar experience?". If so what did you do?

I don't know why I should have to space it out like that. It could be from a 09 FLHT and different due to the new frame.

Any input on this would be appreciated.

Thanks
Randy

FWIW, I find the stock 08 FLH seat a pain in the butt. That is why I ditched it. It has a god forsaken hump in the middle that I couldn't stand.
