I've searched on here for some answers regarding the fork lock being stuck. I've tried all the tricks mentioned. However, unlike the post i've seen my key is still in the ignition and it is stuck between locked and unlock. It's 2010 Street Glide and I have had it for a week. Called the dealer and he said he would pick it up and look at it, but I wanted to make sure it's not something I am doing wrong. Today would have been a great day to ride. Luckily the bike is in my garage.

Are the forks actually locked? Did you lock in before turning the forks all the way? Pressing down can you rotate to lock or unlock? does the key go in? I would keep jiggling it. I am sure you will get it.

I turned the forks all the way then locked it. Tried to take the key out, but it won't budge. The key is stuck between lock and unlock. The forks are all the way to the left and in the lock position.
I am sure you have tried this but I am going to mention it just in case: Have you tried turning the key wile trying to move the forks left or right? I am wondering if there is pressure on the lock and it cant move, we used to have a mechanic shop, we got calls all the time because folks put their car in park and could not move the handle to reverse or drive, they had parked on a hill and locked the lug in the back of the trans we just pushed it forward a little and presto out of park!

Yeah I tried all those things but no luck. The guy came today from the dealership and tried to fix it and had no luck either. Said he's never seen that. Must be a faulty ignition/lock. It was tough getting onto the trailer too because the forks wouldn't turn. We finally got it after about 45 min. We'll see tommorow what they have to say. Thanks for the help though.
Don't worry, first the dealer will say "They all do that" and then charge you for the repair since it won't be a warranty item.
Don't leave us hanging when you hear from the dealer, post a follow up and let us know 1) what the problem was and more important, 2) how the dealer fixed the problem.
I had a 06 SG and I had the same problem. Only difference was my key was not stuck in the ignition. The forks would not unlock and the dealer had to pick it up. Yes, loading a bike with the forks locked sucks. They ended up having to replace the whole locking system. They ended up getting a pair of channel lock plyers and broke the swith off to get the fork lock out. From now on I never lock my forks.
The fork locking problem was only one of many problems I had with my 06 SG. I now have a 09 SE RG and have not had any issues with it. I guess I got the lemon out of the batch.
So the dealer called today and said that the whole ignition/lock was bad. He said at first he thought it could have been the spring and the key mechanism but then said the whole thing was just messed up. It was a faulty part. As far as how he romoved it i'll ask for more details but he said they just pulled the whole mechanism out. It is under warranty. Only thing sucks it will probably be a week before I get it back.
I posted this same problem awhile back, took a screwdriver; handle end popped the ignition switch right in the middle and it worked, so at least for me it got me out of a jam and of trying to get my bike out of the carport with the forks locked.
