Default LED's in Harley gauges are EASY

We added art work and LED upgrades on my wife's 2010 Street Glide and my 2011 Road Glide Ultra. The art work and large gauges were done by Eyezone Gauges, my wife's radio was done by Marty at GAUGELEDMODS.COM and I changed the bulbs in the small gauges. I used the WLED-xHP5 from superbrightleds.com. I personally would not go with a standard bulb. I figured if the bulbs were too bright I would just cover one of the LED's but we like them just as they are.

I'd like to change mine out to red to match the radio, but this thread is WAY confusing. Can some one post what is needed to change out the all 6 gauges on a 12?

Slentz already answered your question but here goes! Small gauges you can do yourself. Got to superbrightleds.com and search for WLED-xHP5 in the color of your choice. They are plug and play. The speedo and the Tach need to be taken apart and the LEDs need to be changed individually and soldered into place. Not something I'd recommend for the inexperienced. I used Marty at GAUGELEDMODS.COM to do mine. He also did my HK radio faceplate to match.

OK...now it all makes sense. I was getting the part about the small ones, but the Speedo and Tach is where I wasn't picking it up. Thanks for the help.

Hello,
I just got my gauges done and they look awesome. I have a 2004 ultra classic and I chose blue LEDs and I changed out the other 4 small gauges too. As soon as I figure out how to post pics ill upload them. Marty really did a great job and I posted up pics on his Facebook page.

I just completed mines today. I removed my air temp and voltage gauge and replaced with Hawg Wired tweeters also. Here's a couple of pics.

I put the Superbright Blue 194s in my 2009. They are fairly bright and work OK if you are on the road in total darkness. However, in the long run there is a reason they have the white bulbs in there because they are just more visible. The colored light is different and does look "cool" but after a year, I went back to the stock white lights in the dash. "Cool" ain't all it's cracked up to be.
