If you have the HD oil temp gauge you need the WLED-xHP5. I tried the WLED-x5 and had to send them back becuse the diameter is just a tiny bit to big and will not physically fit.
Marty did mine in red to match the radio-fast turn around and easy guy to work with.
Thanks, I remember the photos. And I was curious if you used the brighter ones. Appreciate it.
Yes, I went with the brighter ones. The ones first talked about on the forums here a year ago are getting reports of being too dim. The ones I got are actually a shade brighter than the LEDS in the tach/speedo, but I'm happy with it. I'd recommend being a shade brighter, than not bright enough to see the lights...after all, the pretty colors are there to be seen.
So which bulbs in the smaller gauges, WLED-x5 or WLED-xHP5? I would hate for them to be so bright that they are distracting.
The xHP5 are brighter than the other one that another member here preferred. I've seen them both on MY bike....I much prefer the xHP5 model.
Take a look at my photos in the thread I started. That is with the xHP5 model installed in the smaller gauges. They are brighter...but NOT distracting (at least to me).
It's going to come down to preference...want them a little brighter, or dimmer. I went with the brighter. Wife liked the brighter too. And everybody knows women know more about style and what goes with what than most of us men do.
I know this is an old thread but I have to know... I have a '10 Street Glide, if I want blue lights, what is needed to convert all of the gauges and the radio?
