06 SE Ultra problems????
My Bus Partner has a 2006 Screaming Eagle Ultra that he has been having problems with.
I rode his bike to compare to mine today for the first time. I found a few items that don't match.
Problems listed below
1. His oil cooler line came off during his breakin period. At 300 mile mark, bike has 650 currantly.
HD fixed says no problem, plus they extended his warranty to three years.
2. I could hear an air leak?????? exhaust or intake????? Don't know. Just did not sound correct. Almost like a tapping, not coming from heads.
3. Power wise, not there. Not even close.
4. Running VERY lean.
5. 24 Fuel milage
6. Oil pressure gauge runs zero while idling.
7. He says bike has quit while idling and pops or coughs every once in a while and feels like she'll stall.
He's taking her in next week for 1k service and to report all problems.

You got a lemon bud!
My 06 SE Ultra had none of your symptons. Got 45 mpg form the showroom floor. As for the power, it sucked. My 05 Ultra would easily take it everywhere except on hills. Then I put S&S 590 gear driven cams, Rinehart Tru Duals, Mentor Fuel Processor, SEAC and SERT. Had it dynoyed before and after. Before was 70/68 After was 108/94. It now requires seat belts.
The CVO out of the box is a dog performer but a very sweet ride. Sold my CVO a few weeks ago. But I plan on getting an 08.

Rmarion, have the dealer check the oil pump to make sure it is not sumping. This happened to my buddy who has an 06 Ultra and it had all the same symptoms. He also had a lack in power as the RPM's increased in addition to stalling, rough idle, etc. The dealer replaced a simple o-ring on the oil pump and has not had a problem since.
