POed with passing lamps
Anyone else using passing lamps on a Street Glide and going through bulbs? I put the HD kit on mine with smoked bulbs and in 5000 miles went through one set and now have had another bulb go out. Is it the smoked bulbs or maybe the long travel FLHX suspension? Buddy has ultra running same area with 20K and not had one fail yet.

often when bulbs fail, it is related to a bad ground.
as the power 'surges' through the circuit depending on the iffy ground connection, the filament takes the hit.
2.) some bulbs hold up better. I usually use Philips or Sylvania bulbs on my bikes.
if you look at the charts on the xtravision packages, you'll see that the "more light" the shorter service life.
but check your grounding first
3.) halogen bulbs should not be touched with you hands. hold them with a clean paper towel or similar. make sure no moisture is entering the lamp housing

Not much of a Kury fan but bought their passing lamps by mistake to go along with the Truck Lite on my Road King (don't shop online while drinking). Not crazy about the visual difference to the eye looking at them but tickled with the light intensity all over. Hope you get it figured out.
