If you're not sure, put your baffles back in until you get the lay of the land. I haven't heard of nyone getting harrassed down here much, though.

And yes, lots of great riding around the tallahassee area. You have curves and hills up there, not all flat and straight. You can go north into AL/GA and there is beautiful riding, or you can go sout and ride along the coast. My aunt and uncle live there and I love riding around there place!

Before I moved here I heard I should expect tickets for my handlebars and unbaffled pipes. I've been here since November 09 and have not had one issue and I ride the Daytona area all the time.

Basically it is like others have already said....dont try to draw attention to yourself and you will be fine.

Take SR 319 south out of Tallahassee to SR 98 go along the Gulf through Carrabelle, Apalachicola, Stop for lunch at Tucans in Mexico Beach, then on to Panama City and Fort Walton Beach. Pretty ride. As for the Baffels, use comman sense and you should be all right. If you beg for a loud exhaust ticket You will probley get it .

4" Bassanni exhaust without baffles is pretty loud but I know guys with metric bikes that their bikes are just about as loud as mine.

I think it's about like any other state. Depends where you are and who's around.

Common sense. If you keep it reasonable, nobody will mess with you. I've got unbaffled drag pipes on my sporty, and have had no problems from local LE.

In Volusia County, otherwise known as Daytona Beach. It's a County Ordinance.
Loud Pipes? Your gonna pay the Judge. Cops don't necessarily mind the Loud Pipes, it's when you THUMP the Pipes, Roar the Engine and act like an A-Hole, THAT is when you will see folks getting pulled over. See a Cop? Keep it smooth. Take it easy.
Within 1 maybe 2 minutes they are gone. Just Chill and life will be cool.
Welcome to Florida. Enjoy.

Strtarrow, I thought you were going down for a Rally or vacation. I didn't realize you were moving. I've done that before. It takes some adjusting! Good luck on the new Job Man. Let us know how you are doing. As for your question on exhaust, I've never been harrassed about loud pipes in Florida. I've never had straight exhaust, But I've had some loud pipes before. Ride Safe!
