Same as everyone else said.

Tires are inexpensive compared to hospital bills or death.
Better safe than sorry.

Enjoy your new ride.

Thanks everyone! It is truly cheap insurance! I've been riding dirt bikes for over 25 years and am really **** about my equipment. This street thing is a whole new beast to me, and having so much weight on just 2 tires makes me cringe when I think about a failure.

Looks like new tires this weekend!!

I'm firmly in the Dunlop Elite-3 camp.... but which ever tire you select, pay attention to the LOAD RATING for the tire.... You really want a heavy duty tire, for your heavy duty bike....

Two things in life, I don't try to "save money on".... tires and brakes. Oh... I'll shop around for the best price, but I don't go with cheap stuff

Just be aware that Dunlop E3's (I love them) DO NOT COME IN WHITEWALLS.

You have a classic so if were me, I would get the WWW.

Before the cb. Lol. No I'm not that old. But am second generation trucker. The signal for a flat tire was clapping your hands palm up. Not like your at a concert but more like your making a burger. Most drivers know about it still. Not everyone uses a cb.

Age combined with the likelyhood of the sidewalls being destroyed from running with nearly no air are a no brainer....the should be replaced

I know everyone swears by the E3's but having the Classic, I want to stick with the WWW's.

Ive narrowed it down to the replacement D402's or Metzeler 880's.

What do you think is the best? I'm in So Cal and we don't get alot of rain or "weather" here for that matter, so no wet street riding for me.

What do you think??

If you go with the 880's make sure theyre German made, not the crappy Brazilian ones.. Buddy works at an Indy says the South American ones are *****.. Less milage, cupping..

He has a set of German 880's on his SG and loves them..

I agree with the peace of mind posts. I like the E3s.

I would rather have the 402's than 880's....880 are good grip tire but the don't last....Michelin Commanders are nice but i am not sure they have the WWW...Avon???
