Default Danny Grey Bigseat vs C&C solo....any advice?

Hey everyone,

I am adding a detach tourpack kit to my ultra and would like to add a solo seat with backrest. I was wondering if anyone has experience with either the Danny Grey Big seat with backrest or the C&C solo with backrest? I like the looks of the C&C better but am really looking for something that is fairly comfortable for a 500 mile day. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've owned both and the DG is way more comfortable if you ask me. Also the quality appeared to be better.

Haven't had a C&C but I do have the DG Big Seat and like it alot. Excellent quality and nice leather.

Seat comfort is very diffucult to recommend to anyone else. A seat that's sent from heaven for one person is a torture contraption from hell for another person, so you can only try it out and see if it fits you. If not sell it on the classifieds on the Forum here and try something else.

Thanks. I am on the fence for which way to go. I really like the looks of the C&C better but am worried about the comfort with either of them.

I don't have a solo but do have a C&C fastback with a backrest. I have several 500+ mile days on it and it was very comfortable. I do think the fastback gives more back support than the solo. With the backrest it is extremely comfortable. I think the C&C is very well made and their customer service was excellent. I have heard great things about DG as well. Tough decision.

I can't speak to the DG, but I have a new C&C Solo seat, and it is very comfortable and well made. FWIW, I believe the two owners of C&C worked for Saddlemen Seats and DG before venturing out on their own. I was very impressed by their manufacturing setup, and their customer service is great. I have posted pictures of my seat in another post, but for some reason I can't upload a picture here.
