Default XiED, EITMS

I have an (early) 2008 EG Standard...it seems the EITMS (Engine Idle Temp Management) wasn't enabled.
After being caught in a traffic jam twice in one week, I went to the dealership...they enabled it as a no-charge item. It works as advertised.

I also installed XiEDs on the bike; easy install, noticable improvement in throttle response and the engine runs cooler. Mileage doesn't seem to be affected.

Thanks to all the forum members that posted items on how-to stuff; it really helps!

Glad the Xieds are working for you. I've been running them on 3 bikes and they work for me.

Glad u like them, I have them on my 08 sg and believe it is a very effective way to cool ur bike for the price. I also noticed a pleaent throttle response increase an very little change in mpg

Absolutely, I agree 100%. I did a lot of research before buying them. I think they have their limit's, but if all you are doing is stock or stage1, I think they are fine. If you do a big build with cams, then invest in a tuner. Ride safe!!

I started with the XIEDs when I got my bike, but after 1,000 miles the plugs were sooty (stock breather and exhaust) Then I put the 02IEDs on instead of the XIEDs the 02s aren't quite as rich. if you are keeping everything stock. After 56,000 miles on my 08 FLHT the 02s are working great.

You don't need or want XIEDs if you have a PC.

IEDs are just a resistor that tricks the O2 sensor into riching up the fuel mixture.
