Default 18" Apes

38541.1 I'm thinking of putting 18" apes on my '05 FLHRI, I have heritage bars on there now. I'm a fairly large guy, 6' 2", and I've rode solo on a couple bikes with 18"s and I really like the feel of them and the way they look, but I haven't ridden them enough to judge the handling aspect that well. Just looking for opinions from riders that have them as well.

What you like, what you don't like, how they handle solo as well as 2up ect.

Mine are 16" but I think should be about the same. I love them. The bike handles MUCH better both 2 up and solo. I feel much more control. You're taller than me so probably have a longer wing span. I think you'll like the 18's. Just my opinion. Hope it helps.

only 6 ft here and 18's are the deal. if anything, i'd go for 20's if i had a doubt. you'll like the 18's just fine. i feel that add a lot to the ability to handle the bike properly and especially at your height.
