I have an 09 FLHT , the stroke seat isn't bad but was wonder what others have. What is the best seat in your opinion.

I'm considering the Mustang solo with 13 inch passengers pad.

Had that exact setup on my '07 RK and loved it - mama did too. Then traded RK in on '10 RG. Couldn't x-fer seat to new frame so I got dealer to toss in a new style HD Sundowner.

The Sundowner was crap all-around and total crap for her. The pillion pan area was bent up so far that there was only room left for about 1" of padding. Therefore, spent the $ on the 2-piece Mustang again, a set that fits the new frame. OUTSTANDING results. Just a good as my old set-up.

BTW - The new solo isn't exactly the same. There's a bit less wrap-around height in back but that actually suits me a little better. Of course, might not mean anything at all for someone else - I "carry" a personal belt accessory and less seat back there is a little better for me.

Default I was wondering about...

...the RKC Solo Saddle. That's a Sundowner, isn't it? I hope it fits me because I sure like the look of it with the matching leather bags.

Personal belt accessorization aside, did you have good support in the back and rear-end?

I have this setup on my 11 flhtc. It is comfortable but not as cushy as the stock seat. The backrest is a big plus and it looks good on the bike too.

I hope I understand the question John... My old RK wasn't a RK "Classic" (FLHRC). It was an FLHR but, either way, AFAIK anyway, neither of them came stock with a Sundowner.

I upgraded the OEM stock on the old RK to a Mustang solo and separate pillion. That set-up was outstanding. Much more recently I upgraded my new RG (FLTRX) stock seat to a new frame type of Sundowner and it sux IMHO.

I've never used a backrest on any scoot (yet) but for me (skinny butt) almost any saddle is more comfortable than the stock one.

ETA: I also believe OP's use of "13 inch passengers pad" refers to Mustang's pillion pad option.

+1 on the C&C, just got mine about a month back. Was looking for a 13 inch pillion and solo and he said they were in the developing stage of one. I opted for the Sport Tour in the Alligator print w/ drivers backrest and love it.

Will the Mustang solo with passenger pillion from a '09 RG fit your bike?
If so, hold up ordering one.
I'm ordering a Danny Gray Speed Cradle w/gel tomorrow and it'll take 2-3 weeks to get.
My Mustang will be for sale at that time.
