I was having trouble with the intake on my '99 RK standard ever since i got it. when i bought it, it had the SE high flow air kit already on it, but it had the stock air cleaner cover.....see picture......
well, im 6'5 so my knee tends to rub against the cover at times...to the point of which the hole in the filter where the cover screws in broke and the cover fell off. after replacing the filter, it kept coming loose. so today i went to the harley shop to find a solution and i came up with this....
does anyone else have this setup? how does it work on the road king? it seems to have a little more power, but i can hear the intake breathing now too. im going to keep the rain sock on because the filter is really dirty right now and needs to be washed. opinions?
