hey,,new to the forum and I'm looking for some feed back
I have a 05 Roadglide and I'm trying to get lowered.I'm 5'6' and have tried everything such as
Lowered frt 2' lowered frt fender 1' New Corbin seat cut down.
rear end... legend Air with with 2 lowering kit added...Heck I've even tried thicker soles on my boots
The legend lowers the bike fine but you can't ride like that way to soft. I'm looking for 1 more inch.
here's my question? has anyone tried using sport touring tires? like 130/70/16 load index of 61 that would
drop my tire diameter from 25.8 to 23.2 fron t and rear?
Only prob with tires is most of the sport bikes weigh much less than our harleys, you should never overload the tires. Seems like youve tried a bunch of things,Might try Short shocks with strong springs, Progressive can custom cut to what ever you need.
Those are old car air shocks LOL, good to see someone with ingenuity! But can you ride with it so low? Handling will be for crap lowered that low and I would be concerned about the frame catching on things.
I am also 5"6" and actualy went back to stock shocks... I wear Redwing very thick soles and the biggest gain was going to Corbin and having a seat custom made... all is fine..
