Default Break-in Maps

Well my build got bumped up from just a cam job to a 95 kit and cams. I have a PCIII which Ill be getting my maps from fuel moto. My question is, is there a difference between a break in map and the map I run after it get some miles? Thx

my engine guy put a 4000rpm rev limit on mine until it was broken in (1000 miles) now it's going back today for it's final tune. Had 103 install along with bottom end work(crank pins welded/flywheels trued /timken bearings) can't wait to see how it runs after the final tune.

Sometimes...but like flhxkiller said...the rev limiter was set low to keep you from beating up on it during "break in".

I have seen new builds get broken in on the dyno and then get tuned right there.

Can't adjust the rev limiter on the PCIII. The main thing about a break in MAP is having it run just a hit rich, you don't want it to lean for breaking it in. You could take a MAP from FuelMoto and add like 5 across the board on both cylinders if you wanted, then take them back after you get your bike broke in.
