Default Blueing Pipes

Looking into some vance & hines long shots for an 08 ultra. How do they hold up as far as blueing? I've heard the rear pipe tends to blue as time goes on. What other pipes sound pretty much like the long shots but may hold up a little better?

I don't know about long shots,,but blueing means a lean condition,,,if your not lean you shouldn't have a blueing problem,,,

They have heat shields on them. YOu wont see any bluing. And every bike I've ever owned, the pipes have blued at the head.

Most pipes develop a little blueing. It usually signifies a lean condition, but it can happen for other reasons as well. The heat shields cover it up pretty well.
