With the cold weather starting to move into Western PA I'm thinking about getting some soft lowers. Other than the HD ones what other manufacturer's are out there worth considering? Also, do the fairing side wind deflectors available make a difference in the wind that hits you or are they really not worth the money? Thanks.
Desert dawgs is another manufacturer of the soft lowers. The lower wind deflectors on the fairing keep the hot air and the cold off of you and work pretty good in my opinoin. I currently have the lower fairing deflectors installed.
Here's another option. I just bought a set of these - very hi quality and they look great. Also, these work perfectly with highway pegs mounted to the engine guards.
I'm an aggressive rider, and hard lowers will scrape if you ride like I do. No such problem with the soft lowers. It only takes a minute to install or remove, and they fold up very small for storing purposes on trips.
I have the canvas HD soft lowers. They are great. I like them for their ease of installation. They only have one strap with a buckle on it. You can put both of them on in under a minute.

Thanks for the link. I do like the way that these fit to the bars. Did you happen to opt for the "cargo" pockets? I'm watching one of his auctions that ends today so I may buy a set of these.

XXX, are these the Harley ones with the bar and shield logo on them? These are the factory ones I'm considering besides the ones listed on Ebay mentioned earlier.
Get a set of black fairing deflectors and a black fork air baffle.
I was planning on getting the black fairing deflectors or the dark smoke whichever seems to work best with my Black Pearl paint. What is a fork air baffle though?

The Lower Wind Deflectors will not fit a Street Glide. I have already tried them. It does not matter if you have the driving lights or not, they still do not fit.
