It is more like a sissy bar. The back of it folds down to a small tote rack, while still being a back rest. I think it will look really good, but not sure about over all preformance. Just looking to see if anyone has used one. Seems as if I found something not used a lot. http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...D/28/IMID/1783
cool concept.... especially cuz at this time NO ONE offers a luggage rack that attahces to the backrest of a 2009+ HD touring bike...they all require 4 point mounting..... I have the Fat Baggers hidden docking hardware and it works just like HD 2 point mounts(and looks 100x better), and i'd like to get a rack to support a backrest mounted bag..... so far i'm S.O.L.
2 concerns...that doesn't look like much of a backrest pad..if you ride 2 up the back half might not be happy..and we know that spells trouble... and secondly the shape of the bar is a little unconventional, i'm wondering how snug a backrest bag would mount.....
I understand the 2 person ride, but I am single. I am looking for something still sharp looking and enough pad for a short 2 person ride. I will travel solo most of the time, and when I have a girlie on the back it will do.
