LOL...no sympathy from here...where the current temp is -8......
Yeah, I didn't think I would get much sympathy from any of you guys north of me (which is 90% of the forum members), but I did want to vent a little. I just started my four day off cycle and it sucks not being equipped for this weather yet. Plus, Christmas is coming so I can't go spend the money right now - especially on myself. Gonna wait and find out the Harley gift card total and then hit the dealership.
No simpathay here...It is 11 degrees and just finsihed snowblowing the driveway so the wife could get going. I looked at my bike on the lift under the blankets and cannot wait until March. I went out once when it was 26 degrees and was chilled to the bone.
I just got the bike a couple of months ago and don't have any big boy pants yet. I have dressed for a couple of 40 degree rides and looked like a tick about to pop with the stuff I've got around the house. I guess I'll have to invest in some cold weather gear.
Hysterical! I know what you mean. Pick up some heated gear. It's well worth it. All you should need is a long sleeve shirt, under the heated jacket, then your motorcycle jacket over that. I've ridden in some real cold wether with that combo & have been like toast! Also, get a pair of heated gloves that plug into the jacket, they're awesome. As far as your legs go, chaps, overall bib, heated pants etc. Whatever you can afford.
Make sure that your bike can handle the load (I said load) of all those accessories. You may be limited to just 2.
You'd be amazed at how well heated gear works. Good luck!
This should be in the section..."Does anyone out there give a rats ***"....
Sorry to hear that Florida is loosing alot of Fruit....Always be plenty in "Key West"...LOL...........o~`o..............
