I doubt there is much difference between 12V incandesent bulbs.

The biggest difference is the lens you are running. Smoke looks cool, but it's easy to miss a brake or turn signal.

I have run a H4 in a 80/100 version in the past. Cars would flash me when I was on low beam and then I let them have it with the high beam so they could see the difference. If they flashed then I was sure they saw me !!

peppal, he was referring to the brightest tail light, not headlight. check in streetrodder magazine, there are other bulbs available in there which are very bright compared to the stock harley bulb that are still incandescent. i gave up on having a bright taillight and got the Bright *** Light, and that thing although a bit expensive, is worth every cent. the word "blinding" comes to mind.
