Default Making MP3 disc ?

When I put mp3s on a disc to use in the radio, do I just put as many as I can fit on the disc or can I use folder(s) for an individual album(s) and then have a bunch of individual mp3s also? Got a long winter here so I am working on some cds for the bike for when spring rolls around.

How would you open the folder ? Try lowering the quality and putting more on the disc. I make my own CD quality discs usuall between 12 to 20 songs depending on legenth of tune. I prefer quality to quantity.

If you burn it slow, you can get like 90 hours of music on one disc. I just made one with 8-9 albums on it and it's not full yet. I think you have to burn them from your library individually so the folder idea won't work.( I don't think)..

If it'll work like my home theater then you will have to use the arrows on the head unit to scroll folders then press OK. I may cobble one to try. I'll post here and let folks know if it works.

As far as quality: you can rip at higher than CD quality and actually get better sound on MP3, but honestly I don't think anyone could tell over engine noise anyway. I get 110-150 songs this way depending on song length. It's actually a PITA without folders to find songs I feel like listening to.

That's funny that you guys are talking about this, because I've been sitting here for the last two days loading up music on my phone, for the same purpose once it warms up.

I'm going to plug my phone into the aux jack, like an mp3 player or ipod.

you can do it however you want. i do mine with the directory of the artist name, then a subdirectory of the album title.

when you put it into the hk, it will just read it as track 1, track 2, etc. all the way to the end. you don't have to scroll like you would with a computer.

to elaborate, after it starts playing the track, it will display the id tag info, but when scrolling through it is just track 1, 2, 3 etc. i just put it on random and let it do its own thing.

the hard part is if you have 8 or 9 albums on there, and you want to hear a specific album, then you have to scroll through all the tracks until you find the start of that album. at least thats how it works on mine, hope someone has an easier way. and don't say ipod, i haven't got my chrome cash to order my ipod controller yet. another couple of weeks
