What is this "owner's manual" you speak of?

I've done a UOA through Blackstone Labs the last 4 changes on my Limited. With 5,000 mile intervals (as the manual states), the oil is still testing very well. If you're changing your oil every 2500-3000 miles you're throwing away perfectly good oil.

oil 5000-7000
primary 10000 or a bit sooner
Tranny 20000 or a bit sooner.

I had the tranny and primary opened at 7000 into fresh fluids under warranty...also depends how long the bikes sits idle???

I ALWAYS change all 3 holes.
Too much trouble keeping up with which hole to drop this time or next time.
It costs an extra $18 bucks doing this...$13 for Redline Heavy Shockproof and $6 for ATF.

+1 helps to plan using real data.
I go every 5k myself, but it's based on testing the oil at 5k and 7k (on the bike, not the oil) to see what the specs were.

Might go sooner in dusty areas or if the bike was a casual miler (taking a year or more to get to 5k). I like to winter it with clean oil as well.
