sorry for the double post, but you know there is a model of the bal that doesn't have the clear window on top to light up your license plate don't you? all red, because with the streetglide your license plate is below your taillight so you don't need that clear window. it's a stock harley red lens that's used to make them, so you can't tell it's anything different when the light isn't on. i hope this helps, i know i'm really happy with that taillight on my 08 streetglide. it's a very easy install too.

 

anybody can confirn that their BAL lights has silicon inside in order to isolate the 4 leds?
