Is there a reson you wouldnt want to upgrade to the J&M 7.25's while your in there? The sound pretty great.
Oh yeah... love your bike!
I'm not opposed to the 7.25's
I'd like to pick the J&M 7.25/Amp package up from DR. VTWIN
Thing is, I'm running aftermarket head unit.
I'm not sure if that amp will adapt to the Alpine head unit I'm running.
I would think that if you're just changing speakers (sizes) you'd be fine with whatever head unit you're running. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. Don't worry, someone from Dr VTwin will chime in here shortly and let us all know! Oh, and here's a link from ARC Audio's website for some speaker adapter rings as well. http://www.arcaudio.com/productdescr...ycle/rings.asp

Well, it would certainly justify a PM question to John at J&M. Even if you kept your current amp and just run the J&M speakers, unless it's a 2ohm-vs-4ohm issue? Then again, (IMO)... swapping in any head unit that is compatible with the J&M gear would be worth the time and effort. That 250w amp paired to those 7.25" speakers really rocks! And if your wiling to do lowers... his new500w 4-channel amp with four J&M speakers up front (ala: ROKKER) seems to kick-it too. All worthy of that sweet custom you've built.
