They work great. Got one for fathers day & it plays all the time. You can buy larger memory chips & get over 100 songs on one. The little one they ship with only get around 20. Hell of a price. You can also find em on ebay.
I bought an audiovox XM radio and having trouble mounting the thing, I don't want to drill
holes in the farring, Have been tring to get the dealer to get me a handelbar mount, but
MoCo has no part number for the mount alone, just the whole kit.. $249.00.. (With Radio)
Guess I just have to do some fab work, XM is the $hit...
I can listen to Jazz till the cows come home... (not that I have a cow, or cows) But it is great...
I thought about adding an MP3 player but then came to my senses. I realized that I could burn a disc full of MP3's on a blank DVD-R and have 4gb worth of music. A 50 pack of blank DVD's runs about $15 on sale at any given time. That is a helluva lot of music. I decided if I add anything it will me a satellite receiver.
I have had one since they first came out. I have over 8Gb of music on 4 SD cards. I don't play the FM radio anymore and with over 600 songs on a single SD, I never hear the same song twice!
It is also an easy install and looks good on the bike.
I agree with Monstermile.... I burned a few CD's with tons of songs on them. It is a lot cheaper, especially if the HD MP3 player is just a shuffle. It will give you the same options as the CD player on the bike: random, repeat, etc. The big differences with MP3 players (iPod) is the ablility to play by gendre etc.....
