gaugeface for HD
Reviving an old thread. I think it's a great idea. I would like to use it on my road King that lacks these gauges and the speedo is too low. Certainly way over priced but like this over buying another tuner since I already have TTS. Too bad they no longer sell the cable.

"Super sad to have to announce that it looks like the adventure is over :-(
A very big sorry to anyone out there that was waiting on v3 to go to production as we hate to have to disappoint.
Haven't been able to get the final v3 adapter finalized for far too long now as my hardware/firmware guy wasn't able to deliver. It's been so long that we'd have to restart the Apple approval process now and probably would have to update the whole enchilada to conform to the latest protocol specs and that in of itself is a bit of a nail in the coffin... for now. Will keep an eye on things and if any opportunity ever presents itself to be able to resurrect this project we will certainly be very happy to give it another whirl."
OK, understood. I read into it that everything was discontinued. Carry on!
Seeing this thread got me interested in poking around a little. Seems like the V&H FP3 will do most/all of this and more, albeit for an additional chunk of change.
That said, there appears to be an android app that will do similar stuff here for $10:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ashboard&hl=en
That app's description says it needs a Bluetooth OBDII code reader AND an ELM 327 16pin to 4pin adapter cable.
After some hunting around, they seem to be the only source for the adapter cable, but not too bad at $23 + $7 shipping: http://www.myappdata.com/rpmitupCables.html
Or DIY cable instructions in this thread: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...ley-droid.html
They are using this BT reader at $22,
https://www.amazon.com/BAFX-Products...1?s=automotive
But there are cheaper options that appear to me should also work: https://www.amazon.com/Launchh-Versi...s=elm327+cable
And as I hunt more, a different BT reader may allow this to work with iOS as well, so assuming you already have the phone and a way to mount it,
$30 cable + $22 reader + $10 app = $62 for digital dash.
Hmmm....

Apparently the reader that works with iphones uses wifi instead of BT - maybe that would be better??
