So after much debate in my head. I went with some twin peaks 10 inch apes.
Wow making the sharp bends with the wires a pain, but I got it.
Not quite done yet ...finish in the morning.
First impression, sitting on the bike. I think it might be ok!
I went for a short ride yesterday. My first impression ...maybe should have went 12 inches.
Also I might need a backrest now.
Going for a long ride today.

Sounds like a common response...."should have gone higher"
You should get a better opinion after a long ride....
Looks good, but I agree a 12" might be better. I have the Heritage-style on mine now and am considering 12 inchers. A buddy has 12s on his King and they feel pretty.
Btw, I didn't notice your orange towel over the tank in your pics at first. I though you were matching the paint to your mower.
The Difference is amazing. Turning is so much easier. With the beach bars turning was slow and lazy. Slow speed turns, like into parking lots was very awkward.
Now slow turns are more precise, and curvy roads are a blast.
But 10 is too short. I need at least 12.....14......
They do look like they would be hard to fish wires through for sure. I'm on my 5th set of bars on my RK, but I went the other way. After riding with high bars for awhile I finally found beach bars flat and wide enough to be comfortable with on long highway rides. Everyone's different!
I was barely ok with the oem bars on my king. Then Ininstalled the police seat which threw the whole bike out of wack, felt like I was riding a sports bike and leaning over the tank. Saturday night I installed a 10" wild 1 chubby bar. Sitting on the bike so far feels like the perfect hight for me (5'-11") But I am still waiting on the install kit (cables and wires) so I can test ride.

I used all the stock wiring and cables on mine. Clutch cable is a tad snug but not too bad.
I am 5'11" also...
The beach bar was ok on long straight highways. I never had any pain ....
But slow speed was awkward even stopping at a light did not feel right.
