Default WO575 Install Problems

Well I installed these Wild 1 bars and pulled all the wires inside the bars.

With all the threads I read about the green TBW connector I thought I'd see if everything worked before finishing it off. Good thing I did because I had some issues.

Problems I have are the right turn signal doesn't work, the ABS light flashes (although I can't remember if this is normal or not), and even though the run switch is on and seems to work it will not start. I did have a U-1040 code which appears to be something about the ABS sender.

Checked the connector and all the pins look okay.

Any suggestions or do I just have to pull the wires out and try again? This time with the TBW without the green connector.

Having been through this kinda thing about 100 times the only advice I have for you is to pull the connectors and look at the wiring diagram and ensure each wire is in the right place and that no pins are pushed back into the connector.

Fix your turn signal and no start issue first. You've got a wire or two in the wrong place...

The connector had to go when I installed my Carlini's. We soldered and heat shrinked everything.

As mentioned above make sure all the wires are in the right place.

Not just one wire all 12. Can't believe I made such a bone head move.
I made a diagram of the wires on all the connectors and for some reason on this right handlebar switch connector I wrote them down in reverse order. So #1 was in #6 , #2 in #5 etc. Just changed everything and all works as it should.

Thanks for the advice.

I'm going for a set of these Wild-1 575s, they aren't "ape" are they?

I'm not looking for Ape Hangers, just up a bit and back a bit.

They look right in the pics I've seen but I've not sat on a bike with them.

Glad you got your wiring error sorted out.

Lol... I've been there. It's amazing that it doesn't fry something when we do that. Glad you got it figured out.

The 575's are not apes. They are maybe 2" higher and 2" back.

Problem I had was I set them up the way I thought was comfortable and when I tried to put the inner fairing back on, it wouldn't fit because the bars were to far forward.

Guess what I'm saying is a 10" set of Monkey Bars would have been perfect for me. I likely should have went with the 577's but really didn't want my hands above the fairing.

I'm sure the 575's are going to be great. You can definitely tell the difference between these and stock. Much beefier, a little wider and better wrist angle.
