Default Pics Of Your FLTC Tour Glides.

04/29/15 ... NOTE: This thread is for Tour Glides.

Unless you have an FLT, FLTC, or an FLTCU to show or discuss then locate the right thread to show or discuss other models.

If you have converted Tour Glides you are welcome to share those here too.

Thanks for the consideration and understanding that this discussion is specifically about Tour Glides.

Let's see what yours looks like.

I'm still learning a lot of the history of this line up which was made starting in 1980 powered by a shovelhead, changing to an evo in '84, and last produced in 1991. I've seen them loaded and chromed out, and some modified down to a solo seat without their sharknose.

Add what more you know, or ask about something you want to know.

I would like to hear about your mods and any type of major repairs you've had done too.

I'll go first:

Previous owner added additional Brake lights (now LED) and the forward spots. I upgraded the electrical from 22 to 32 amps. Also upgraded the ignition to a Crane HI4e. Added 1" lower air ride shocks. Upgraded stereo with a Kenwood system and better speakers. Other than that she's stock.

That's a pretty neat bike! I'll be following this thread because we rarely talk about older bikes. This will be interesting!

You have any other pictures you can post?

Well, one thing is the last year that the FLT was produced and sold was 1996. There was not any FLT models in 1997. There was all kinds of clamor about "No more FLT model", just as in 2009 with the FLTR model. Just not a year between the introduction of the FLTRX.

The FLTR was introduced with the 1998 model year with that being the last year of the EVO motor. It continued with the Twin Cam in the 1999 model year introduction.

Thanks for asking. I didn't know what I had until I started learning more about the bike. I hope to hang on to her for quite some time.

This was the last ride on Nov 29th, 2010 It was sunny and 43 out. Cold rain moved in next day and it was snow the day after that.

WTF! Why build one with an EVO when HD made them for over ten years!

I love it!
One question, how many gallons does the oil tank hold?
Just kidding - Looks fantastic.
