Default Trailer

I'm new here and can't find a way to tie down the Ultras. I have 2 Ultras and inclosed trailer.

What I need is advice on is how to tie the back of these bikes down.

I tie the bikes down on the front but can,t find a good place to tie the rear down.

The front has both sides tied down plus a a tire in chock, but I want all 4 coners tied down.

I don't like to trailer the bikes but 2 bikes 1 motorhome and trailer and only 2 drivers I don't have a choice.

Can someone give me a link or tell me where on the back of the ultras to tie down.

TIA, Mike(sorrry for the speeeeeeling and grammer)Whiz-Kid

First off, welcome to the site.

Do a search as this has been covered before.

I run my rear straps through the saddle bag crash bars.

Leave the motorhome at home.

Seriously, at the price of fuel for a motorhome, you could ride the bikes, rent rooms or campgrounds and come out ahead. Plus you would have the adventure of riding.

Bill

I use hog straps around both sides of the swing arm, and or one strap around the rear wheel.

This is how I do it. I have the straps looped around the passenger footrest bracket and slightly forward pulling the bike forward into the wheel chock. Rock solid. I also let the air out of my shocks and place a block under the frame near the cross brace and tighten the straps until the bike rests on the block. This way the bike doesn't bounce on the rear shocks and snap the straps.

Since you tie down the front and are pulling it forward into the chock, all you really need is to keep the back from moving side to side.
A real easy way is to run a wrap a 4" lifting strap through the rim an tie down secure with a ratchet strap.

By locating the strap in the rim you are not restricting the suspension, and giving the stap a chance to break.

Welcome from Rhode Island.

Use the brackets where the floorboards mount.

great job showing all straps pull the bike towards the front. if you have the rear straps towards the rear and the front loosens then the rear will be loose or will pull the bike backwards from the chock.
