If you've read the other threads on our product then you know there are a couple of other guys who purchased our product and decided they could do better on their own. We're fine with that. And we certainly refunded their money completely - shipping and all. And we tried to get the one customer to just keep our product for free because he kept saying he like the product but thought he could buy it cheaper on his own. So far, after over a year in business, those are our only 2 returns. We're pretty proud of that fact. And we get feedback all the time for what a great deal our product is. Of course - just replacing the twist pins alone runs between $30 and $40, so our product is cheap compared to that.

As far as the quality of our product, we buy the best that we can. Some of which, while you can go to the local store and buy it, you won't be buying the same quality of the components. And we offer the ease of it showing up at your door within a few days (we ship within 24 hours for all in-stock products). So instead of you running around to different stores with gas at $4 a gallon, trying to buy the components and ended up with lesser quality to what we have - for $27.50 (that includes everything you need for both bags and the security tool, shipping and the HDForums discount) you have everything all assembled and you never left your computer.

And our other products have built on this one product. The Fender Security Screw is made just for us in Arizona to work with our Security Tool. You can't buy this at Lowe's. Our ShieldShackle™ has custom designed parts and again works with our Security Tool. We are launching our SeatSecure™ in the next week or so - to secure the solo seats.

Can we please everyone? No. Does everyone even see a need for our products? No. And I have no desire to prove you a smartass. You are asking legitimate questions that I hope I've answered for you and apologize for not being thorough enough before.

We just try to be a stand-up company that's out to help our fellow bikers enjoy their bikes without concern for losing their bags and other accessories.

By the way, a customer called the other day, had been at AZ bike week and knew of at least 10 bikes whose bags were stolen. He said "There were a lot of FLHX's running around looking pretty stripped." So whether you do your own thing or buy our product - we highly recommend you secure your bags.
Well, I appreciate you taking the time to respond, and I understand your position (I think), but what I was hoping for was something like, 'See this right here? This is why my product works so well...'
I guess maybe the patent pending issues are preventing you from doing that, but then again, what's to stop someone who has purchased your product from just posting a pic of the whole kit on the net? The only other reason I can think of is that the parts in the kit really are just things I can get off the shelf for much cheaper, but like I said, I like to give the benefit of the doubt and I hope that when you have no more proprietary / patent concerns you'll be able to show the whole kit and I can say, "Ah-ha. I get it now."
However, your statement, "I gotta tell you that we're not in the business to try and convince bikers that they're better off buying our products than going out and finding a solution for themselves." sort of perplexes me. I'm pretty sure thats what you do when you're trying to sell a product. You find a need, fill it, and try to convince people that your product is the best.
Again, thanks for your time, and I appreciate the courteous manner in which you responded each time, but no sale.

No problem. I've spent a lot of time saying why our product is superior to what is the current Harley system. A lot of time saying why we sell quality products. Our Customer comments on our website are outstanding. Our eBay feedback is 100% positive (and you can't fudge that). And, as you can read on this forum - we have a lot of great, satisfied customers. And I believe there are also a lot of pictures of our product on here - at least if I remember correctly - under the Product Review section on the Forum.

My statement "I gotta tell you that we're not in the business to try and convince bikers that they're better off buying our products than going out and finding a solution for themselves." probably didn't come out as I intended when I re-read it. : ) We just know that we're not going to convince all to buy. There are some that don't believe that saddlebags, seats and windshields are stolen and there are some that firmly believe that a fly-off only happens because of driver-error.

Nice chatting with you.

A shout out to Brukus, I just installed my SaddlebagSecure. took me 15 minutes to remove my bags , wash/wax them, install a shorty antenna, install SaddlebagSecure and reinstall my bags. The only tool I needed was the one they supplied.

Thanks Bruckus!!!!!!!

I deserve to win because I havent won anything since I guessed how many candies were in the jar in second grade, plus I just spent three years of coaching stipends coaching jr high sports to pay for stretched bags and cant afford to replace them.
