Ive been told that I let my bikes rpms drop to low at any cruising speed. I try to keep them around 3000 rpms no matter what speed Im running. Is there an ideal rpm range or am I right in what Im doing? Thanks for any info.
Anything above 2000 RPM's is OK for a light cruise in town, on the highway 2500 RPM's is
where the lowest, 3000 is great you are right in the torque carve.
I think 2500 - 3000 rpm is a good range for cruising in any gear. Crusing at or close to 2k, you might get some bogging. Crusing above 3k without upshifting (when you can) you are using up more fuel.
