I took mine to the limiter once, I'm ready to hear what the R's were.
The first time I hit the limiter the front end went down and I lost speed,I nearly **** myself ,I thought here we go I killed it..... but I shifted and she was ready for more!
On my 05 WG the rev limiter kicks at somewhere between 5500 and 6000, hard to be sure exactly, usually have my eyes elsewhere when I am giving her that much twist, but in that range. Hate the sound it makes.
the reason why i post the rpm is because i didnt know at what rpm i was shifting...
a bit high now that i know.i guess after 105 years that harley has to be putt putt putt
down the street and not driven toooo hard...i thought it could handle around 4700 shifting
sometime... but, with what i read, it is not good for the bike..so i guess harley should
bring their redline down to 4500 instead 5500.
