Are there any engine builders/tuners/etc out there who know what RPM I should be running most of the time? I used to try and shift to keep it in the low 2000's like 2200/2300. I have been playing around with running it at closer to 3000 rpm's lately. I don't care about MPG, only engine longevity/performance/reliability.
I'm not a builder/tuner/etc, just a gearhead and hot rodder at heart.
I always try to cruise in an RPM range where the motor is still building power. On my old RKC, it was around 3,000 RPM. My new RG seems to cruise real nice around 2,500 RPM and will pull pretty well at that RPM unless I'm in 5th or 6th gear. Higher gears seem to like at least 3,000 RPM.
